Dr. M
The Mantis

Dr. M was once a kind and compassionate veterinarian, a man who devoted his entire life to saving animals. He believed in the sanctity of life, treating every wounded creature with dedication. But time was unforgiving—old age and illness crept upon him, and no medicine could halt the inevitable. His hands, once steady and skilled, grew frail, and his once-brilliant mind clouded with the fear of death.
Then, the Mage appeared. With whispers of forbidden knowledge, he presented Dr. M with a potion—a chance to escape death, to continue his work, and to live forever. Desperate, the doctor drank the elixir without hesitation, his body convulsing as the transformation began. His human form shattered, reshaping into something inhuman—a fusion of man and mantis, armored in chitin, faster, stronger, and more resilient than ever before.
At first, it was a miracle. He saved his country with his power, cutting down threats with deadly precision. But soon, his body began to change beyond his control. His mind, once filled with empathy, became clouded with something darker. He could hear the whispers of the insect instincts within him, growing louder, hungrier.
As time passed, Dr. M lost his sanity. The desire to heal was replaced with something far more terrifying—domination. He no longer saw himself as just a man or even a hero. He believed he was a god.
With each passing year, his obsession with evolution deepened. He no longer sought to simply preserve life—he wanted to reshape it. He began experimenting, merging animals and humans with his twisted science, creating grotesque hybrid creatures in his vision of a “perfect world.” Those who resisted were deemed weak and unworthy, fit only to be culled. What was once a doctor’s oath to protect had been warped into a tyrant’s decree of survival of the fittest.
Now, with his immortal body, Dr. M no longer seeks to save the world—he seeks to rule it. He looks down on humanity not as a species to protect, but as an inferior race meant to be reshaped… or eradicated.
